Guided tours and store setup missions
Short role-based tours you can replay, and the overview checklist with a progress percentage that takes a new store to its first sales.
Role-based guided tours
A tour opens by itself the first time you visit its page: owners on the overview, cashiers on the POS, the kitchen on the kitchen display and managers on the stock page. Skip it any time, and replay it from your account menu (press your name) under Guided tours, or from the help page. BoxBak remembers that you have seen it, even on another device.
Steps
- Press your name at the bottom of the left menu
- Choose Guided tours, then Start tour or Replay
- Use Next / Back or the arrow keys; press Esc to skip
Good to know
- The cashier tour links to training mode, where you can practise selling without recording sales, stock or cash in the drawer
Store setup missions and the progress percentage
On the overview, owners and managers see a checklist for their shop type, such as adding menu items, setting up PromptPay, setting the owner PIN, the first bill, opening and closing a shift, adding staff and adding an ingredient. Dine-in shops also get setting up tables; buffet and grill shops get table QR codes too. A mission ticks itself off when the shop's real data is there, never comes back once done, and the list disappears when every mission is done.
Steps
- Open the store overview
- Press the button of an unfinished mission to go where it is done
- Press Hide to hide the list for the whole shop, and Show again to bring it back
Bonus credits for completed missions
Each onboarding mission you complete, including finishing the shop setup, pays reward credits once. A mission with a reward shows Earn … credits, and Received … credits once paid. Reward credits pay for growing the store (more menu items, tables or branches), not for AI; they last one year and cannot be refunded as money. The guided tour and owner PIN missions have no bonus. See the balance on the Credits & usage page.
Good to know
- Each mission pays its bonus at most once per shop
Day 1, 3 and 7 email tips and how to unsubscribe
In the shop's first week, owners with a verified email get a short email at 9 am on day 1, 3 and 7 about the missions the shop has not done yet, with links to where each is done. If everything an email would talk about is already done, it is not sent. The email only names the shop and the missions, has no sales figures, and opens are not tracked.
Steps
- Press Unsubscribe from tips at the bottom of the email and confirm; no sign-in needed
- Or open My account and turn off Email me getting-started tips
- Turn them back on any time from My account
Good to know
- Unsubscribing does not affect important account emails such as email verification and password reset
