Credits & usage: what is free, what uses credits, and adding credits

What is free

Every BoxBak feature is free, including your first branch within the included capacity. Asking the assistant how to use BoxBak is free for every store, and searching the guide from an external AI app through the connector (search_help) is free with no daily limit. Running out of credits pauses only credit-based work, never selling.

Good to know

• AI-phrased how-to answers have a free allowance of 20 per person and 100 per store each day (the store's local day; the platform can adjust it). After that the assistant still answers with the written guide and is never blocked.

What uses credits, and how many

Credits pay for AI work by actual usage, never above each task's limit. Roughly: asking the AI about your store data is about 0.3 credit per question (not more than 3), scanning a purchase bill or delivery note is about 0.2 credit per page (not more than 1), scanning a receipt into the cash book is about 0.2 credit per receipt (not more than 1), generating a menu image is about 2.3 credits per image (not more than 8), the daily AI anomaly insight is about 1.2 credits on a day an anomaly is found (not more than 3), and AI commentary in an auto report is about 2 credits per report (not more than 4).

Good to know

• The price is always shown on the task's button or card before it starts. A task marked Not available yet has no price and cannot be used yet.
• Only delivered answers are charged; if the system cannot answer, no credits are used.
• While a task runs, the credits for its "not more than" figure are held (plus 1 credit while a fraction is carried). When it finishes, only the actual cost is taken and the rest is released at once; a task that fails releases everything.
• If your balance is below the "not more than" figure but still covers the estimate (the top of the estimated range), the task still starts. You are charged at most the credits you have; the platform covers anything above that, and your balance never goes negative. Below the estimate, the button says how many credits you need, with a link to buy more. Staff who cannot view the credits page never see the store's credit figures; they see that there are not enough credits and to ask the owner.
• Before you press, you see the estimate, the "not more than" figure and your balance (if you can view the credits page). Afterwards you see what the task used and what is left, right where the result appears.
• Scheduled AI work (the daily anomaly insight and auto-report commentary) runs only after the owner approves a spending limit, and that consent can be withdrawn on the credits page.
• Besides AI, credits add capacity beyond what is free, such as more branches or image storage. The credits page shows current usage and the price before you add any.

See your balance, history and expiry dates

The Credits & usage page shows purchased credits available to use, free credits by kind (monthly credits work for anything; mission rewards grow the store but not AI), credits reserved for capacity renewals, and a Credit history tab you can filter by credits in or out. Each batch of credits has an expiry date, shown under Balance details.

• One-time top-up credits last 12 months; monthly pack credits last until the end of the following cycle.

Add or buy credits

When credit sales are open for your store and your account may purchase, you see an Add credits button. Choose a monthly pack or a one-time top-up, and pay by PromptPay or a saved card. Credits arrive only after payment succeeds. If there is no such button, credit sales are not open for your store yet, or this account cannot purchase.

Steps

1. Tap Add credits on the Credits & usage page
2. Choose a monthly pack or a one-time top-upA top-up is whole baht, 1 baht = 1 credit, from the minimum the dialog shows.
3. Review the details, then pay by PromptPay or card
4. Wait for the payment to be confirmed; the credits then arriveIf you do not see the result yet, do not pay again: the system keeps checking.

Set monthly AI budgets

Under AI budgets & payment settings you can cap monthly credits for the whole store, a branch or a staff member. Blank means no cap; 0 stops new AI jobs. Budgets reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 Bangkok time.
