Transfer stock between branches and from the central kitchen
Create a transfer to move ingredients between branches or from the central kitchen, track stock in transit, and have the receiving branch check and receive it.
Send stock to another branch
Stock leaves the source branch as soon as you send; the destination gets it when it confirms receipt. In between, the transfer waits as Awaiting receipt.
Steps
- Open Stock transfers & central kitchen and tap New transfer
- Pick the source and destination branches
- Pick each ingredient and the quantity to sendThe app shows what the source has, and you cannot send more than that.
- Add a note if you like, then tap Send Transfer
Good to know
- If your store tracks lots and expiry dates, the expiry dates of what you send carry over to the destination branch.
Check and receive at the destination branch
Transfers that were sent but not yet received are listed under Transfers waiting for you, oldest first. Check what actually arrived before receiving; once you confirm receipt, the destination's stock goes up straight away.
Steps
- Tap Check and receive on the transfer
- Check the items against what arrived
- Tap Confirm receipt
Short, damaged, or returning the whole transfer
If items arrived short or damaged, tap Report shortage or damage and change only the short items to the quantity actually received (0 if none arrived); the rest are received in full. The difference is kept as a record without changing what the source sent. To refuse the whole transfer, use Reject entire transfer, or have the source use Cancel transfer (source); everything returns to the source branch.
Good to know
- You cannot receive more than was sent.
- Don't count stock at both branches instead of receiving the transfer properly.
Central-kitchen production runs
If your store uses production runs, this page also shows today's central-kitchen production. Tap Record a production run to record what was made, then create a transfer to send it to the branches.
Plan the central kitchen's production
The Central-kitchen plan page adds up what every outlet needs of each item the central kitchen makes (forecast sales and/or PAR levels, minus the outlet's stock and what is already on the way), suggests whole batches from the recipe's batch size, works out the ingredients needed (sub-recipes included) against central-kitchen stock, and checks whether each station has the time.
Steps
- Tap New plan, pick one day or one week and the first day
- Check the batches and what each outlet gets; edit them while the plan is a draft, then tap Save
- Tap Approve planApproving does not change stock.
- If ingredients are short, tap Create draft purchase orders; one order is drafted per supplier
- When an item is made, tap Record production on it, then Send to each outlet
Good to know
- Set stations, minutes per batch and the items the central kitchen does not make under Capacity.
- You need a branch of the central-kitchen type and prepared-item recipes (production standards) first.
When you cannot transfer or cannot find a transfer
The source and destination must be different branches, and the source must have enough stock. If you cannot find a transfer, check the branch, period and status filters (Awaiting receipt, or Returned / Cancelled). This page is for people with inventory management access. If the menu item is missing altogether, the owner can switch on the multi-branch feature in Settings › Store features.
Good to know
- Transfer values are shown only to people allowed to see costs.
